The International GridKa School "Big Data, Clouds and Grids" is one of the leading summer schools for advanced computing techniques in Europe. The school provides a forum for scientists and technology leaders, experts and novices to facilitate knowledge sharing and information exchange.The target audience are different groups like grid and cloud newbies, advanced users as well as administrators, graduate and PhD students. GridKa School is hosted by Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
SFT contributed with three lectures to the CERN School of computing 2013 in Nicosia.
ROOT tutorials giving an overview of all the basic functionality of ROOT, providing a solid base to efficiently analyze data with ROOT. After an introduction to C++, all the main features of ROOT have been presented, from histogramming, tree and I/O to advanced fitting techniques. The tutorials lasted a full week and lectures slices are complemented with hands-on exercises.
